Highlighting, underlining, and notes

To highlight or underline: select some text in a paragraph. A small toolbar appears above your selection (or below it, near the top of the screen). Pick a highlight colour, underline, or note.

To add a note to a passage: choose the note button in that toolbar, type your note, and save. The passage gets a marker; hover over or tap it to see the note.

To add a note between paragraphs: use Add a note here… under any paragraph.

To remove a mark: click the highlighted or underlined text and confirm.

Your marks are saved to your account and appear on any device.

Note: tables, lists, and other formatted parts can't be highlighted, but you can still add notes under them.
