Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and AFK Prep. By creating an account or using AFK Prep you agree to them, to the account rules below, and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use AFK Prep.

• Everything in AFK Prep — lessons, questions, explanations, images and mock exams — is protected by copyright.
• Your subscription is a personal licence to view it inside the app. It doesn't let you copy, download, save, screenshot, screen-record, photograph, print or share it, for personal or public use.
• Every lesson, quiz and mock carries a watermark with your name and email, so any copy can be traced back to your account.

• When AFK Prep detects a screenshot, screen recording or print attempt on study material, it's recorded on your account with the time and page.
• Recorded attempts are reviewed. Repeated attempts flag your account and can lead to suspension.

• Your account is for you only — sharing it, or your password, with anyone else isn't allowed.
• You can use AFK Prep on one device at a time. Logging in on a new device signs out the previous one automatically.

• Each time you log in, we record your IP address, the device and browser you used, and your approximate location (city and country, worked out from the IP address).
• Logins from different locations or many devices in a short time suggest a shared account, and flag it for review.
• These records are used only to protect your account and our content, and are kept for 12 months.

• If we find that an account has been shared, or content has been copied, captured or distributed, we may suspend or permanently close it.
• A suspended or closed account isn't refunded, except where the consumer protection law of your province or territory requires a refund.
• Distributing our content can also lead to legal action under the Copyright Act.

AFK Prep and its licensors own all content in the app. While your account is in good standing, you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to view it inside AFK Prep for your own exam preparation. Except as the law expressly allows, you may not copy, reproduce, download, save, screenshot, record, print, translate, sell, share, publish or otherwise distribute any of it, for personal or public use, or help anyone else do so. Notes, highlights and summaries you write yourself stay yours.

To enforce these terms, AFK Prep watermarks study material with your name and email, detects screenshot, screen-recording and print attempts on it, limits each account to one active device, and records the IP address, device and approximate location of each login. These records are kept for 12 months and handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Detection is automated and can occasionally be wrong, so a flag is always reviewed by a person before an account is closed, and you can contact us to explain.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Before closing an account for good we'll tell you why by email, except where the breach is serious (for example, distributing our content). Fees paid for an account closed for breaking these terms aren't refunded, except where the consumer protection law of your province or territory requires a refund. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under that law.

AFK Prep is an independent study aid. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB), and it doesn't guarantee any exam result. Content is reviewed carefully but may contain errors — please report anything that looks wrong.

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll ask you to agree again in the app before you continue. These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions? Reach us through the Contact us page.
